I'm visiting Palm Springs from a small town in northern California and was so happy to have a Vegan restaurant to check out. I've gotten take out here twice so far this week. The menu is creative and so exciting for vegan food! The food is fresh and crunchy and creamy. Cake and soft serve for dessert. Delicious! The staff is great!!

Being vegan comes with its challenges, so having Chef Tanya in our universe is such a gift. Stopped at this location (which is it's only "negative") on the way from the airport to meet someone in Palm Springs. The food more than made up for the location though. Generous portion for both sandwiches, which included a Chupacabra Chick'n and a Patstrami Mami. Also had the Apple Crumble for dessert which was just o.k. The staff was super friendly and helpful and there was lots of fun kitschy stuff for sale as well as other vegan food products, such as Rebel Cheese. 😊

The BLTA is the best vegan sandwich I've ever had - so tasty - came back 3 days in a row and ordered it again and again. The Tasty Thai Tofu salad is excellent as is the Cubano sandwich. There was not a lot of talking in the indoor eating space because everyone was so focused on enjoying their meals - see menu below - so many choices. All Vegan. And the restaurant had a mini vegan grocery store that some really cool unique items. Couldn't recommend this place high enough, especially as a lunch destination. You order in one building and there is a small room next store to eat in - not the greatest atmosphere, but the food more than makes up for it.

Absolutely delicious and addictive deli-style sandwiches and salads. Went there twice in 2 days in the summer peak of Palm Springs during a little trip and now I can't have it anymore!
Nice shop as well with local products and some gifts, merch and books. Nice friendly service from Tyler :)
AB.SO.LU.TE.LY recommended, don't even think about it!

5 days in Palm Springs - I've been here for 2 days and eaten here 3 times. If you are Vegan this is a MUST VISIT - if you aren't, this is the place to see what Plant Based can mean. I'm eating here so much I signed up for the rewards! I'm going to head to Palm Desert to try the other location tomorrow!

This lovely vegan restaurant gives true Cali Desert vibes in the best way and is a must visit! The service was great and the menu is varied with a host of prepared and made to order food options! There are several whole food based healthier vegan options also which is wonderful!
There are two separate buildings - one where you order and can purchase local and unique items and the other has indoor seating and restrooms. The food is served to you directly in the indoor seating area if dining in.
Of note, I appreciated the eco-friendly approach as it appeared the restaurant used recyclable, reusable and/or compostable containers!

Chef Tanya’s Kitchen in Palm Springs is an absolute gem. Delicious vegan goodness across the board, with plenty of gluten-free options that don’t feel like an afterthought. Everything tastes fresh, nourishing, and thoughtfully made. The desserts are divine—honestly some of the best vegan treats I’ve had anywhere. It’s well worth the journey, especially if you’re craving truly nutritious, satisfying food you just don’t really find in downtown Palm Springs. A must-visit for plant-based lovers (and anyone who loves great food).

Incredible vegan food! We stopped here based on a Google search for vegan food and a local’s recommendation. We ended up eating here 3 times over the course of our trip to Palm Springs. Fresh sandwiches with flavorful ingredients, and super friendly staff. Recommend the Cubano! It’s in a bit of a weird commercial location, off the beaten path, so you need a car to get there, likely. Parking and seating are ample, though. Open a location in Ottawa, Canada, please! We can’t stop thinking about your food!

Chef Tonya's Kitchen
Palm Springs, California
During our visit to Palm Springs, California, we decided to step away from the downtown area and try a restaurant known for its vegan offerings. Although I am not vegan and have only limited experience with plant‑based cuisine, I was genuinely curious to explore something new. The restaurant is just a short drive from downtown and is thoughtfully divided into two main areas.
The first section is where guests place their orders, and within this space is a small market featuring plant‑based foods, books, T‑shirts, and other items. After ordering, guests walk a short distance to the indoor picnic‑style dining area, which is furnished with tables and chairs. There are also a few outdoor seating options just outside the market.
I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious the food was. We ordered several sandwiches, shared them by splitting each one in half, and enjoyed every bite. The vegetables were fresh, the bread was excellent, and all the accompaniments complemented the dishes beautifully. We also tried a couple of desserts, which were just as flavorful and decadent as those from other dessert spots we’ve enjoyed.
The staff members were friendly, attentive, and helpful in explaining the menu items. Their service truly stood out. In fact, when we returned the following day to pick up food for our trip home, one of the staff members remembered my name—an impressive touch that reflects exceptional guest service.
Overall, I would absolutely return to try more items on the menu and to experience the outstanding customer service again. Whether you are vegan, vegetarian, or simply curious about plant‑based cuisine, this restaurant is well worth a visit.
